NOTICE OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
January 3, 2015

     Please be advised that the Board of Directors for Green Glen Acres Homeowners Association, Inc. intends to conduct a Quarterly Board Meeting at 7:30 p.m., or immediately following adjournment of Special Session on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the Redbird Ranch Community Church, located at 695 CR 381, San Antonio, TX 78253. 

     At the January 7, 2015 Quarterly Board Meeting, the Board may discuss and or take formal action concerning the following matters:

Approval of Meeting Minutes

(1) Review approval of meeting minutes from Annual Meeting

Old Business

(1)     Title Transfer Fees, Resale Certificate Fees and Subordination Agreement Fees

(2)     Reports from Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President

(3)     Reinstatement of Nonprofit Corporation

New Business

(1)     Ask for volunteers to indicate interest in serving on committees

(2)     Amend Bylaws

(3)     Approve payments

(4)     Set up tax exempt account with office supply store

(5)     Discuss rate of return on CD and look into other investment options

(6)     Discuss setting copy fees and reimbursement fees and reaffirm other set fees

(7)     Discuss bulk trash pickup for Subdivision

(8)     Update membership on Casias Lawsuit

Executive Session

(1)     Discuss and potentially take action concerning pending restrictive

covenant violations in the community.

(2)     Discuss and potentially take action concerning existing past-due homeowner assessment accounts.

(3)     Discuss and potentially take action concerning Casias Lawsuit

All meetings of the Association’s Board of Directors are open to members of the Association subject to the right of the Board to adjourn the Board Meeting and reconvene in closed executive session to consider actions involving: (1) personnel; (2) pending or threatened litigation; (3) contract negotiations; (4) enforcement actions; (5) confidential communications with the Association’s attorney; (6) matters involving the invasion of privacy of individual owners; and/or (7) matters that are to remain confidential by request of the affected parties and agreement of the Board.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING – FOR THE PURPOSE OF:
ELECTING THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

A Special Meeting of the Green Glen Acres Homeowners Association will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the Redbird Ranch Community Church, located at 695 CR 381, San Antonio, TX 78253.  The purpose of this Special Meeting is to elect the Green Glen Acres Homeowners Association Board of Directors. 

All property owners may attend.  Only property owners who are members of the Green Glen Acres Homeowners Association (paid the voluntary membership dues) will be allowed to vote.
New membership dues must be received prior to the meeting.  We will not accept membership dues at the meeting.

Re: Letters to Residents and Lawsuit

Dear Green Glen Acres Homeowners,

 

It was brought to our attention that a letter dated December 12, 2013 was sent to multiple but selected

residents. The letter is authored by Chris Casias. On this letter he is soliciting information about the

vote they cast to renew the HOA Covenants.

 

Joe Casias, the father and property owner, has filed a lawsuit against the Green Glen Acres HOA because

the HOA did not approve his request to establish a "wedding venue/party hall" on lots 196 and 197

within Green Glen Acres. For purposes of open communication and further clarification the board

wants to make certain that information from both parties is transparent and clear.

 

Of note, the Plaintiff requested permission to operate a reception hall that was open 365 days a year,

would operate between 8:00 am and Midnight, would provide parking for up to 200 vehicles and allow

alcohol to be served and consumed on the premises. If you would like to see the Plaintiff's Original

Petition, it can be found at www.greenglenacres.corn.

Green Glen Acres Halloween Hay Ride

Will meet at the West end of CR 375, at the top of the hill at 6:00 PM. .

We will board the two trailers and depart no later than 6:10 PM. You are welcome to caravan behind the hayride... 

The trailers and caravan will drive down CR 375 toward CR 381. 
From CR 381 we will head north to CR 385. .
From CR 385, we will head west to CR 389. 
.From CR 389, we will head south to CR 386. 
.From CR 386 we will head east to CR 387. 
.We will head south down CR 387. .

Then we will return to west end of CR 375 to drop people off at their vehicles. 

.The hay ride will take approximately between 2.5 and 3 hours. ..If you are giving out candy, please turn your front porch lights on and be ready to meet us at the street.

Possible Mail Theft

From a GGA Resident - 
FYI: My husband and I had noticed when we took walks in the morning that quite a few mailbox doors were hanging open from time to time. Last night as I was sitting in my back yard around 9:30-10:00pm I had notice a car stop at my neighbors mailbox thinking it was my neighbor getting their mail I did not react, the car then moved forward, lost view and heard it stop again. I then thought it was having car trouble. This morning as I took out the trash I saw my mailbox door open. Went to see and there was only a magazine in the mailbox that I order (forgot to get saturday's mail). Magazines don't have billing or account information that is not important to one who wants to steal our identity. I am thinking that there is someone stealing mail from our mailboxes because Westcreek subdivision just west of us off 1604/potranco has been having the same problem. (breaking into their neighborhood large mailboxes). Make sure you get your mail daily and do not leave mailout items over night. Be on the lookout.
